OASAS Impaired Driver Program Assessment and Evaluations

OFFICE OF ALCOHOL AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE

IMPAIRED DRIVER PROGRAM

Deborah Singer is an OASAS approved provider for the Impaired Driver Program.  She is approved to conduct the evaluations, assessments and treatment for individuals charged with or convicted of an impaired driving offense who require clinical screening and assessment services.

If you are referred for evaluation and potential treatment, you must choose a provider who is preapproved by OASAS Impaired Driver Program.

According to New York State Guidelines, the evaluation process will take approximately two hours.  The evaluation process includes obtaining a personal history, a health history, an alcohol and substance abuse history, a collateral interview, contact with referral sources, urine and breath test, and a written report.

Upon completion of the evaluation, a report will be written, discussed with the client and submitted.  The report will include evaluation results and treatment recommendations with referrals if needed.
